As we all know buying American girl items before retirement is a must. Because once they hit ebay upon retirement, they mock us with high prices and outrageous shipping... but still we want them.
With Bitty it seems to be different. I find that once a bitty item is retired, after a few high price rises on ebay, they seem to decrease drastically. Take the Silver bells outfit, upon retirement the highest price it hit was $50.00 dollars. But now I am finding it for $9.99 and selling at that price. It appears almost it is better to buy bitty items after they leave the catalogue.
The same thing happens with some of the AGT clothing. What's difficult about AGT, though, is figuring out which outfits will decline in price and which will skyrocket. Some go up towards the $50-60 range, while many you can get for around $10-15 after retirement.
But you don't see anything like the historicals- like Felicity's Town Fair bringing in $150+.
The Silver Bells was on the Sale page for months at like $10, so I can see why it's not getting much more than that price now.
It'll be interesting to see what the Bitty Bunch PJs sell for in a year or so. Weren't they going for 60+ a few months ago?
Well, Our New Baby outfits run about $40-$50 a piece. :-( I guess that's a little different than Bitty.
